See you in 2025!
We look forward to returning to these cities for workshops in the near future:
City of Armadale
City of Canning
City of Cockburn
City of Kwinana
City of Mandurah
City of Melville
City of Rockingham
City of Swan
Throughout 2025, The Worm Shed will be working with various councils to provide worm farming workshops. Ticket links will be added to our Event Calendar when available.
Subsidies
Residents of the Cities of Armadale, Canning, Cockburn, Kwinana, Mandurah, Melville, Rockingham, and Swan, who attend a local workshop, are eligible to purchase the complete worm farm package at a heavily discounted price thanks to their council's subsidy or rebate. This package includes everything you need to get started, including worms.
Some of these councils also provide a subsidy for worms alone, for those who already have a worm farm but need worms to start/top up, for a dog poo disposal, to use in compost heaps, or to add to your garden. To find out about the subsidies that your council has to offer, visit their website for full details.
Although the City of Nedlands is not currently running workshops, residents of this council are eligible for a subsidy from the council.
If your local council doesn't feature in our upcoming events list, go ahead and contact them, to let them know that you would like to see them get on board with The Worm Shed's council workshops program.
Our Presentation
Our workshops feature a presentation covering all aspects of worms, worm farming and the roles worms play in recycling and waste management. This is followed by an informal question time and a practical demonstration in setting up, operating and maintaining a worm farm.
Our Mega Worm Farm Kits are available to purchase at the workshops, along with our other products including worms, Castings, WormWiz Ultra and more!
If you already have a worm farm, but it doesn't seem to be working efficiently, or you just have some questions, we'll be more than happy to answer them for you and help you get your worm farm back on track.
Garden Clubs & Expos
We are often available to provide talks for environmental groups and garden clubs. We also attend many environmental, gardening, and educational expos and field days with our informative display.
We speak to visitors about the benefits of worms in the garden and the role they play in waste management. At various events, we also provide Worm Packs for kids to make and take home!
Please email for more information, or to book The Worm Shed for your upcoming event or workshop.
